We were in BC for a long time, actually.

Other things that happened in BC! First of all. We flew there! Look at my tiny bitches eating snap peas at a map-of-canada table, sitting on Canadian-themed animal chairs. 'larious.

ARE WE FLYING NOW? EVERYTHING IS SO TINY!

My dad got sick, so we're keeping that streak going. Let's not talk about that, it was lame and it only lasted one day but it was a BUMMER and then he got better.

While he was sick, Mom took Eleanor and Rosey to the mall (at Eleanor's particular request, because she loves to visit the Build a Bear store) and it was ALL! DECORATED!

Geneva was napping at the time, because babies do not time-zone-adapt as well as 3-year-olds. Speaking of babies. Look at all these babies we have!

Babies are so weird. Anyway. We went to the park! Monkey see, monkey attempt.

Monkey see!

Monkey attempt!

There was a very obliging dog named Laura, for whom Eleanor threw a ball maybe a thousand times. Every time, it was the best thing that had ever happened to her. She has never met a better dog. 'That dog wasn't sniffy OR licky OR bitey! She was just a very good catcher!'

Bekah and Rosey stayed over for the first few days we were there. (For real, though, one of us has to go change.)

We went swimming!

We did puzzles!

HA HA THE BACK OF THESE CHAIRS ARE TRANSPARENT

Tante Gillian came to visit. Eleanor cut her off from the herd for a while and hauled her into the back room to work their way through an ENORMOUS stack of Disney books. Eleanor loves Tante Gillian.

We took a picture of Tante Gillian with all her nieces but I'mma wait and go back and find the one from like a year ago or whenever because they are basically the same picture. Enjoy instead this picture of the babies having babychats.

And babyswingings.

YOU TWO ARE GONNA BE BESTIES (no we amn't)

When we came back from Chilliwack, we went a-festiving in Burnaby and rode the SECOND-FASTEST VINTAGE CAROUSEL IN NORTH AMERICA (that is a very specific achievement but the fastest one is in Central Park, NY and is only faster because it is FOUR horses deep, the carousel operator is obviously kind of butthurt about this).

The Heritage Museum is DECKED OUT. That lady in front is like, I don't even know but we are so fabulous.

There was a sleigh being pulled by...some rams? What even is going on here.

Hop! Hop! (says Geneva [and also the frog-sir])

Six swans a-swimming, OMG YOU GUYS THE FROGS ARE THE LORDS A-LEAPING AND THE GHOST-LADIES ARE DANCING I LITERALLY JUST GOT IT RIGHT NOW.

Oh man, ok. Hey, you know what Geneva hates? CARS.

You know what she LOVES? WASHING HER OWN LEETLE NECK.

And then we came home and now we're home and there's snow and it's fine and I'm so grateful that we only live two time zones over and not, like, five, so that I can come home sometimes and not miss out on all this family we have.
