Single-childedness.

Joel got home in the early afternoon today. Have we talked about how he's doing walk-in clinics now? And how he has weird hours, and sometimes the teeny bitches and I walk sweatily to the splash park in the evening because we are SOLO and then sometimes he's here when the girls wake up, and he takes Geneva and they go...somewhere. I don't know, they were gone for hours and he came home with running shoes and a jug of milk. And Geneva is fun to have around, but she is also fun to not have around because she spends all her time being like, Gonna climb this.

Gonna climb this here, too.

AM SO MAD BECAUSE CANNOT CLIMB THIS PLEASE ADVISE.

Anyway. Joel and Geneva went on a date and Eleanor and I homesteaded. We have an enormous box of peaches from the farmer's market, so we peeled them and sliced them and made pies!

We made chocolate date balls, which is my go-to snacky gift to bring new mums, and chocolate zucchini muffins because zucchini season is upon us. We are all over chocolatey.

We made cheese-and-jalapeno-stuffed burgers for supper with this burgerstuffer hoomajingy my sister got us, and a peach cobbler for dessert.

Cobble cobble!

And, you know. We hung out.
